The donut has the shape of a zero, so that's good. Can't blame them, since there are hundreds of different cultures out there, and you can't please them all. For example, the gesture arabs make when asked to slow down or wait (put the thumb against index and middle finger) is very offensive in Italy, hence here it's done a lot.
